Overview
Initiate and drive the strategic direction for our client’s current and next generation web & software products in financial markets environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the team that brings products to market. Lead PM in generating product requirements; determine specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product launch, developing strategic marketing goals and objectives for existing and new products.
* Product roadmap for existing products to maximize revenue opportunities.
* Team up with key players, both internal & external, to find new product opportunities.
* Develops business plan for new products.
* Develop business plan for new products and bring them to market.
* Analyze Product Requirements and Product Development programs. Perform ROI analyses. Develop/manage program timelines with Software Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Operations.
* Evaluate market potential for new products and/or new features to existing products.
* Assess market competition, researching and benchmarking against competitors' products.
* Establish processes for management of Product Requirements throughout their lifecycle.
* Establish processes for Product Management and Release.
* Develop and implement strategic plans for initial release and subsequent feature releases
Qualifications:
* MBA desired, and 10+ years’ Product Management leadership experience in the enterprise software/web applications (licensing & shrink wrap), electronic transaction or internet transactional/portal markets is ideal; or experience with web services/SaaS.
* Qualities: Leadership, Strategic Thinking and Innovation, as vital as Project Management savvy.
* Strong expertise/track record in assessing market trends, economic indicators, and competitive information, to set strategies for segmenting the market, for small business to large corporations.
* Must be familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of niche marketing as it relates to a company's overall marketing strategy.
* Experience conducting market needs validation for complex product feature/functionality, positioning, pricing, revenue forecasting and go-to-market strategies.
* Strong knowledge of financial transactional/portal applications development and/or enterprise with financial software.
* Specific knowledge of financial technology segments such as mortgage lending/brokerage, financial transactional/portal markets experience.
