IntelePeer is a rapidly growing, private, telecommunications company providing innovative services and software solutions to some of the most recognized names in the industry. As a key member of our team, the Senior Product Manager, working from our Denver, CO or San Mateo, CA offices, will have responsibility for managing a portfolio of hosted software, hardware and network infrastructure supporting embedded voice and communications solutions for enterprise customer markets. Commercial applications will include voice calling and advanced voice and media features and the integration of these services with other non-voice software- and Internet-based applications.

This is a mission-critical position with high visibility—the Senior Product Manager will own and manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end of life. This individual will be able to make a significant contribution to IntelePeer’s business by ensuring we deliver the right product and feature set to our growing enterprise customer base in contact centers, interactive marketing and enterprise unified communications. Responsibility ranges from the definition of product requirements with Sales and Marketing stakeholders, to interfacing with developers and vendors in the development process, to coordinating with external and internal organizations, to the actual commercial deployment of the application and services to key customers and partners. Additionally, this team member works collaboratively with the company’s voice, data, and transport teams in the strategic planning and voice/data services roadmap development. This position will interface with customers and partners on a regular basis.

Position Responsibilities:


• Work collaboratively to research markets, create market-driven product requirements, manage the development process, and attain the necessary resources to achieve revenue, profit and market share goals.
• Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap for the AppworX/Enterprise Business Unit .
• Ideate and evaluate new business and product opportunities and bring forward proposals
• Research and understand primary customer needs, competitive offerings, market/industry trends and cost/benefit trade-offs of various implementation options, and translate into functional product descriptions
• Possess strong planning capabilities, communications skills, presentation skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to effectively influence internal team members and customer stakeholders through consensus building and ability to get results through others.
• Drive product requirements and associated documentation through the product and development lifecycles. Requires familiarity with common software development tools and processes like use cases, personas, agile methodologies, etc.
• Create various solution deployment deliverables, product roadmaps, product scope and definition documents, product requirements, project plans, status reports, sales training, etc.
• Leverage negotiation skills to drive teams to consensus on product strategy, scope, definition, development and implementation activities.
• Liaisewith Sales, Marketing, and Channel Management teams to gather market requirements and assist in the sales effort and market positioning of products.
• Work with Engineering to ensure compliance with product requirements
• Work with Engineering to guide UI design and usability
• Work with Marketing and Engineering on developing demos for new products
• Drive and review product documentation
• Manage software and hardware suppliers
• Define and drive the product release management process
• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

• BS, BA or BE degree required, graduate level degree in a business/management discipline is a plus (e.g., MBA, MS(MIS), etc.)
• 5 years of Product Management/Development experience in the software applications and/or telecommunications industries.
• Required experience in Contact Center services and infrastructure.
• Bonus points for experience in any of the following:, Unified Communications solutions, VoIP technologies, Software as a Service products, Web/mobile/interactive marketing.
• Knowledge of APIs/developer support, current web trends, and common telecom terms, products, voice architectures, etc. is expected.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives, programs and projects at one time is critical.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical and business issues clearly.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
