Responsibilities:
Develop a clear vision and product strategy for the delegated line of Savi’s low power wireless RFID products, including product goals, features/functions, positioning and financial objectives.
Working with business development, industry marketing, solutions consulting and sales to identify new product opportunities and quantify the strategic and financial benefits of pursuing selected markets for these products.
Directly manage specific segments of Savi’s RFID product line: defining requirements; tracking financial performance; directing product lifecycle support efforts.
Meet directly with customers (from end users to key decision makers) to capture market requirements for new products.
Work with Savi engineering to understand the limits and untapped potential of our technology.
Transforming market needs into well-defined product requirements and serving as the main customer advocate driving the development life cycle.
Participate with marketing communications in outbound marketing of the products, including trade press, analysts, advertising, trade shows, customer presentations and collateral.
Requirements:
At least 8 years of Product Management experience on a complex wireless product line.
Strong technical knowledge of wireless communications and the ability to map that technology to the market.
Experience at developing solutions around wireless products including mapping hardware and software solutions to customer problems.
Demonstrated ability to quickly come up to speed on new markets and technologies.
Innovativation and creativity. Ability to position products ahead of the market.
Financially minded. Ability to create financial ROI models that include market size, available markets and forecast.
Extremely organized and disciplined.
Track record of success in a dynamic, virtual, rapid-growth, highly technical environment.
Aggressive and proactive personality, but with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Exceptional oral and written communications skills and leadership skills necessary to work effectively with team members, executive management, customers, and partners.
Strong active listening skills. Intellectual curiosity required. Loves to talk to Customers.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead team efforts in a matrix management organization.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Education: BSEE or CS required, MS and/or MBA a plus.
