Sr. Product Manager, Application Delivery Controller (ADC) Products
The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving innovative product strategies and Go-to-Market programs with the goal of delivering aggressive revenue growth for the ADC product line. As a member of the business unit, the incumbent will report to the Director of Product Management for Application Delivery Controller products and will partner with Brocade’s channel and OEM sales/marketing organizations to define and drive comprehensive channel partner and OEM strategies for Brocade’s ADC product line. In addition, providing thought leadership on industry trends, product strategy, competitive analysis and market/product requirements will be essential. This is a key leadership position with the opportunity to dramatically influence the business.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Maintain a wide angle view and subject matter expertise in Application Delivery technologies
• Partner with the channels and OEM sales/marketing organizations to drive all aspects of the channel partner and OEM strategies for the product line
• Perform high level analysis of technology and market trends and recommend appropriate strategies in response
• Analyze competitor offerings and GTM strategies, identify opportunities for innovation and market disruption
• Work closely with the division director and leadership team on long term business and product planning
• Research business justifications and create business cases supporting key developments or GTM initiatives
• Author high level MRD/PRD documents
• Partner with finance leadership to help create and maintain long range revenue forecasts for the product lines
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers inside the division and across divisions to drive revenue growth and achieve the ADP objectives
• Work closely with engineering to drive the timely and quality release of new products and software features
• Represent Brocade and the ADC product line at partner meetings, customer briefings, sales meetings, tradeshows, etc.
• Support the product marketing team during product launches or key customer briefings
• Occasionally contribute to key public and media interaction
Qualifications: Education and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Marketing, Masters Degree highly desirable
• 5+ years of direct Product Management experience in the networking industry, including at least 2 years of experience driving channel partner strategies/programs or working with OEM routes to market
• Strong technical background and understanding of Ethernet switching, routing, TCP/IP protocols, and Layer 4-7 application switching/Server Load Balancers
• Good understanding of enterprise applications and middleware, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft
• Experience working with strategic alliances
• Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills for a variety of audiences including executives, partners, and customers
• Experience in product life cycle management
