Webroot is currently seeking a Senior Director of Product Management to build and manage the Webroot product management team, responsible for transforming market opportunities into actionable product plans and market-ready products. The position will have direct control of the formulation and execution of multiple product roadmaps spanning Consumer and Enterprise focused security products and services and act as overall product champion by providing the insight, influence, and leadership to define market and product requirements and achieve buy-in at all levels of the organization. A key position within the Webroot organization, the position will have an in-depth, practical knowledge of the marketplace combined with strong interpersonal and cross-functional team management expertise. The right candidate will lead and grow a strong Product Management team and have the ability to converse and interact effectively with both business and technical audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct the development of market and product requirements across all Webroot product lines; Own and maintains the lifecycle and roadmap of all Webroot products in the marketplace
• Oversee market research, monitors competitive activity and identify customer needs
• Own, develop and deliver business plans for each product line
• Provide leadership for the Product Management team. Evolve the structure of the team to develop product owners for each of the products and balance the product portfolio effectively.
• Analyze competition to understand their technical strengths and weaknesses and clearly communicate these conclusions in technical documents
• Lead Sales and R&D in developing plans to meet customer product needs
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Proven track record of at least 8 years in a Product Management leadership role with enterprise software products
• Experience launching successful security products in a high tech environment selling to small and mid-sized organizations and/or consumers
• Must be intimately familiar with the product development lifecycle.
• Experience in developing portfolio management disciplines and business ownership in enterprise software companies a plus.
• Must be a good leader and manager, capable of motivating own teams as well as cross-functional teams who are collectively responsible for the delivery of the product line.
• Broad technical understanding of the issues involved with enterprise and/or consumer security
• Flexible, energetic, results-oriented, team player.
• BA/BS required. MBA a plus.
