Description : Webroot is currently seeking a Product Manager, Archiving. The PM is a senior member of the Webroot Product Management team, responsible for the strategy and roadmap of Webroot’s Email Archiving product line, targeting small and medium enterprises around the world.

The position involves setting the strategic direction and vision for the Archiving product line; defining market and product requirements; building and managing the product roadmap; establishing product positioning and messaging; identifying new product opportunities and areas of revenue growth; customer and partner engagement; technology vendor management; and product evangelism.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market Research - Keep abreast of prevailing market conditions that may impact Webroot’s Archiving strategy; undertake specific market research to enhance business planning associated with revenue streams; identify market trends and new opportunities and execute them as part of the strategy; represent Webroot at industry events and become the market expert on Archiving services and how Webroot’s Archiving products meet specific business requirements for security, policy and compliance.

• Product Strategy - Define and execute Webroot’s global Archiving product strategy to drive market leadership and customer growth in both email archiving and future complementary product directions

• Product Requirements – Clearly define market requirements to drive product strategy and achieve objectives. Define standards for delivery and support and work with customers, partners and Webroot’s cross-functional teams to produce detailed product requirements.

• Product Portfolio Management - Manage the Archiving product review process. Define internal and external service level agreements, track performance against targets. Build appropriate feedback mechanisms by engaging with the wider business and management programs to constantly test the strategic model against the real-time current business environment. Provide regular presentation and progress reports to the internal product steering group and executive management.

• Channel Partners - Engage with Webroot’s channel partners in order to seek mutual business benefits and jointly grow partner reselling opportunities. Undertake due diligence and requirements gathering engagements with partners. Identify new partners who can further the business in relation to new services and offerings (in conjunction with the Channel Team).

• Customers - Engage with customers either in direct sales support/management activities or via customer/partner forums. Further develop process for capturing and prioritizing product and enhancement requests.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated awareness of current industry trends in the email Archiving market
• Advanced business/technical degree or equivalent and/or minimum of five years experience in a product management role, with a minimum of three years in enterprise archiving or security
• Good working technical knowledge of email archiving and storage systems and the ability to effectively position products in the marketplace
• Experience defining requirements and delivering products to high standards including the development of appropriate performance measures and review mechanisms
• Experience in managing product line P&L and product portfolios
• Experience of dealing directly with customers and channel partners to provide product and market expertise and effectively capture business requirements
• Ability to internally and externally evangelize and gain mindshare for product portfolios
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Enthusiasm and ability to work in an environment with tight deadlines
• Previous experience working with products delivered via a software as a service (SaaS) model is desirable
• Experience with additional storage products such as online backup and message continuity is desirable
