Cariden is currently seeking Product Management for MATE; defining market and product requirements; building and managing the product roadmap; establishing product positioning and messaging; identifying new product opportunities and areas of revenue growth; customer engagement; technology vendor management; and product evangelism. This is a key leadership position with the opportunity to dramatically influence the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research - Keep abreast of prevailing market conditions that may impact Cariden MATE product strategy; undertake specific market research to enhance business planning associated with revenue streams; identify market trends and new opportunities and execute them as part of the strategy; represent Cariden at industry events and become the market expert on network operations, capacity planning, and traffic engineering OSS solutions.
Product Strategy - Define and execute Cariden MATE product strategy to drive market leadership and customer growth in network operations, capacity planning, and traffic engineering and future complementary product directions
Product Requirements Clearly define market requirements to drive product strategy and achieve objectives. Define standards for delivery and support and work with customers, partners and Cariden MATEs cross-functional teams to produce detailed product requirements.
Product Portfolio Management - Manage the Cariden MATE product review process. Define internal and external service level agreements, track performance against targets. Build appropriate feedback mechanisms by engaging with the wider business and management programs to constantly test the strategic model against the real-time current business environment. Provide regular presentation and progress reports to the internal product steering group and executive management.
Customers - Engage with customers either in direct sales support/management activities or via customer/partner forums. Further develop process for capturing and prioritizing product and enhancement requests.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Marketing, Masters Degree highly desirable
5+ years of direct Product Management experience in the networking industry, including at least 2 years of experience working with service providers networking technologies
Strong technical background and understanding of Ethernet switching, routing, TCP/IP protocols.
Good understanding of telecommunication applications and OSS such as fault, performance, inventory.
Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills for a variety of audiences including executives, partners, and customers
Experience in product life cycle management
