| Red Gate Software Ltd |
Since 1999, Red Gate Software has produced ingeniously simple tools for over 500,000 Microsoft technology professionals worldwide. We currently specialize in MS SQL Server, .NET and email archiving tools.
We are based in the beautiful, if rather flat, university town of Cambridge, UK. If you're wondering where the name 'Red Gate' came from, we are named after Via Porta Rossa (Red Gate Street) in Florence, Italy, close to where Leonardo da Vinci invented the database in 1512.
Our SQL Toolbelt is the simplest and most effective way to access all the SQL Server tools that you need, to get your job done, the way you want to do it. SQL Toolbelt is a single installer of thirteen essential database tools, including SQL Compare, SQL Prompt and SQL Backup, and is the industry standard in the world's leading companies, including Microsoft, HP, Sage, Bank of America, AT&T and the US Treasury. |

Product Manager
Location: Cambridge, UK
Salary: competitive plus an extensive benefits package
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible hours
Start: ASAP
I joined Red Gate almost 3 years ago, and have never looked back. I now do market-focussed product management, rather than being a powerpoint jockey for senior execs, or spending my life in tactical sales activities. It was the best move of my career . Colin Millerchip, Head of Product Management
We are looking for an experienced IT professional, with a unique blend of business and technical savvy, and the drive to take ownership of a product and make it a market leader.
Your role will be to stay up to date with the marketplace and work with sales, support, development, marketing and customers to define the features of new and current products. Youll set the strategic vision for the products, and will provide detailed guidance to development, user experience, QA and documentation to make sure the right product gets released.
Youll need the enthusiasm to act as a technical evangelist for the product, both internally and externally. This is a strategic role, but youll need the intuition and insight to spot tactical issues that need your involvement.
